Overview
How spearfishing is treated at Al Hoceima National Park (Marine Protected Area).
Morocco's only national park with a marine protected area (~196 km2 of sea), on the Mediterranean coast near Al Hoceima. Includes no-take zones; fishing is restricted or prohibited within the marine zones, and dynamite/copper-sulphate fishing and illegal trawling are being eradicated. Spearfishing is not compatible with the protected/no-take marine areas.

Whether you need a license to spearfish here, and how to get one.
Apply to the délégation des pêches maritimes of your region (issued by the chef de la direction de la marine marchande et des pêches maritimes or a delegated chef de quartier maritime). Requirements: be at least 18 (16+ with written parental consent), meet physical-aptitude conditions set by joint ministerial order (medical certificate), and hold third-party (liability) insurance.
