National park in Cabo Delgado Province (approx. 9,130 km2; ~20% marine). No-take zones near Ibo, Matemo and Quilálea Islands allow no extractive activities of any kind, except a brief annual fishing window.

Whether you need a license to spearfish here, and how to get one.

License requiredvia Administração Nacional das Pescas (ADNAP) / provincial fisheries administration, under the Ministry overseeing fisheries; issued via Maritime Offices.

Apply individually using the Annex IV model form with an identity document (passport for foreigners). Submitted to the provincial body responsible for fisheries management (or delegated entity / Maritime Office). Minors under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. May be issued electronically.
